Marketing. Advertising. Results. Our Team
Melody Proud
President & CEO
The woman behind the name. She’s creative, fun, upbeat, a skilled negotiator and innovative thinker. Her clients consider her an extension of their marketing team, and a friend. She’s passionate about her clients’ businesses and about increasing their bottom lines.

Her dedication and hard work have paid off. Melody opened the doors of MP Media & Promotions in 1996 after many years in advertising sales, media planning and buying, and spearheading new business efforts. Her out-of-the-box thinking has helped her clients reach new heights and consistently exceed goals.

Melody’s always on the go, whether it’s planning national media buys on ESPN and Fox Sports, helping develop and implement sales-driving consumer promotions, directing national media spots, or jetting coast-to-coast for client strategy meetings. With her trusty cell phone always by her side (with extra batteries, of course), Melody is on the job 24/7.

Melody’s pastimes include watching her daughters, Katie and Emily, compete on soccer teams, photography, skiing, running, and spending time with her family.
Tarran Allen
Administrative Assistant
You’ll most likely find Tarran at the hub of our communication desk. Her past experience translates seamlessly into her position as “front man” on the phones in communicating with clients and with the media. Since the agency buys media in over 90 markets, this is no small task, as the phones are always ringing.

Each day, Tarran jumps right in working on promotional recaps, research projects, promotional shipping and more. She is currently responsible for working with media buyers on make-goods, industry research, sending out requests for proposals and overseeing our national passport promotion for one of our major clients.

In her spare time, Tarran and her family enjoy doing anything outdoors including, but certainly not limited to, horseback riding, going to the zoo, or playing with her daughter Tori in the backyard. She just recently welcomed the newest member of their family, a Chihuahua named Minnie.
Melanie Annacone
Business Manager
Melanie is our Business Manager. She brings 29 years of experience with her - 12 of them being with our agency. Detail oriented, precise and organized, are just a few of the character traits that she uses on a daily basis running our business office. And when it comes to the stewardship of our clients’ money, Melanie is meticulous.

One of the larger aspects of her job is to hold all media reps accountable for running schedules as ordered, by checking every broadcast, cable and newspaper invoice with a fine tooth comb. It’s a tedious task, but well worth it when approximately 80% of media invoices come in with some sort of discrepancy on them. Getting make goods/credits for our clients is a favorite part of her job.

Melanie is a native Tennessean and wouldn’t choose to live anywhere else. When she’s not tracking every penny for our clients, she enjoys the lake in the summer, the fireplace in the winter, dining out with her husband Steve, and spoiling her two cats, Emma & Maddie.
Tiffany LaFore
Media & Projects Coordinator
A native Knoxvillian, Tiffany is our resident Southern Belle. Her sweet, can-do attitude is reflective in everything she does from assisting Account Executives to working with media sales reps on promotional buy recaps to learning something new every day!

Tiffany’s love of organization makes her an invaluable asset to the agency on many levels. She manages all of the agency’s shipping projects, and that’s no easy task as we ship promotional items and supplies to over 400 locations nationwide. She also coordinates the agency’s database birthday programs and executes promotional emails on a daily basis. And if that isn’t enough, she’s responsible for checking contract accuracy, placing print media buys in over 70 markets and works directly with vendors on promotional items for our clients.

In Tiffany’s downtime (which is not often with a young son), she enjoys spending time with her husband JR, gardening, playing with her three dogs, singing and scrapbooking. Tiffany also loves to do make-up artistry (and we gals at the agency love it, too)!
Racheal Lovelace
Media Buyer / Creative Services Coordinator
One call with Racheal and you’ll know she was born and raised in the South. Known for her happy-go-lucky personality and strong organizational skills, Racheal is an invaluable asset to the agency.

Racheal wears many hats at MP Media and prides herself on learning something new each day. She handles media buying in over 20 markets and assists in many more. As the head of the agency’s traffic department, it is her responsibility to send commercials and traffic instructions to numerous radio and TV networks, both local and national, on a daily basis. As if that is not enough, she works directly with the agency’s in-house designer to create point of sale materials, newspaper ads and other miscellaneous requests from clients.

In 2005, Racheal graduated with an Associates Degree in Office Systems Technology from Pellissippi State. With a burning desire to further her education, she went on to receive her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business and Organizational Management from Tusculum College in May 2007.

Racheal and her husband Daniel are the proud parents of an English Mastiff named "Swinger" and a cat, appropriately named "Miss Kitty." Racheal considers herself an avid Duke fan and her greatest wish is to attend a men’s basketball game at Cameron Indoor Stadium. In her downtime, she enjoys watching reality television, attending a multitude of sporting events, weekend getaways, exercising and game nights with friends.
Wendy Manalac
Director of Account Services
Wendy is known for her fun, laid-back personality and her ability to successfully juggle her career and family. A 1992 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Wendy has spent her entire career in the advertising arena - working on both the corporate and on the agency side of the biz.

Growing up in a family of marketeers, Wendy considers advertising in her blood. She’s had her hand in just about every aspect of advertising and marketing from copywriting and media buying to launching eMarketing programs and handling multi-million dollar accounts.

Multi-tasking is essential to her role at MP Media & Promotions which includes client management, eMarketing, media planning and buying in over 40 markets and promotional development. Wendy prides herself on building great relationships with her clients, and considers them not only clients, but also friends.

David Oakes
Creative Services Director
Hailing from the "Sunshine State," David brings his laidback, easygoing attitude, shining outlook and patience to the MP Team. David attended the Art Institute in Ft. Lauderdale and started his career out as an illustrator for Homes and Land magazine prior to moving to Knoxville and becoming the Electronic Prepress Manager and Head Designer for a print company.

David’s strong organizational skills and detailed systems, stemming from his past military career, keep work flowing smoothly through the agency all the way from concept to completion. He is also the "man behind the design." From newspaper and magazine ads to email designs, point of sale materials and websites, David’s talents shine their way across the nation to our clients' businesses. Whatever our clients' needs are, David excels in getting the messages across, in a fun, informative and clever way, whether it’s traditional or non-traditional advertising.

David is married to a lively red-headed gal, Rhonda, and they have two sons. When not attached to his Mac, David enjoys watching his son’s basketball games, hiking in the mountains, and feeling the breeze, as he travels with his Jeep’s top down in rain or shine from April through October.
Wendy Stotsenburg
Director of Business Development
We’re happy to say Wendy has finally returned “home.” Wendy started her career with MP Media & Promotions after graduating from the University of Tennessee in 1995, then left for a 7-year “Texas Tour” working in Lubbock, Houston and Dallas. Her experience includes time on both the agency and client side. She’s sampled dozens of pizza concoctions while working in Marketing for Pizza Hut, took on an enormous task of gaining new customers and keeping them happy while working for a new-to-market cell phone company, Verizon Wireless, and has helped many more companies market their products and services while at a boutique agency in Dallas, and most recently at the 2nd largest agency in Nashville.

Wendy likes to compare herself to a point guard on a basketball team. She’s an integral part of the process, but is most passionate about setting the client up to achieve the winning goal. Wendy cherishes building strong relationships with her clients. She’s a talented marketer with experience in print, direct and online marketing, event planning, new product introductions and strategic planning.

Wendy is a proud Mom to a 6-year old daughter and 3-year old son. Outside of spending precious time with her family, she enjoys reading, Googling just about anything and playing co-ed softball with her husband, Rodd.
